Visa-Free Stay Calculator

How many days can you stay in Türkiye?
Foreigners who enter Türkiye visa-free or with an e-visa may stay up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Enter your planned trip and your earlier stays to see the days you have left, your latest exit date and the first date you can enter again.

The 90/180-day rule
Under the Law on Foreigners and International Protection (No. 6458) and Türkiye’s visa regime, visa-free stays are limited to 90 days within any 180-day period. The window moves day by day: every day spent in Türkiye in the 180 days before a given date counts, and entry and exit days count as full days. Overstaying can lead to a fine and an entry ban.

What the Türkiye 90/180-day visa calculator shows
This calculator uses your previous entry and exit dates to assess a planned stay in Türkiye under the rule allowing no more than 90 days in any 180-day period. It shows the maximum stay available from your planned entry date and the latest exit date for that stay.
If you provide a planned exit date, the calculator also checks whether the proposed stay fits the rule. If the relevant period is already full, it calculates the first eligible entry date under the 90/180 rule based on your travel history.
The legal basis is Article 11(1) of the Law on Foreigners and International Protection (Law No. 6458), which sets this limit for stays under a visa or visa exemption. Further context appears in the law’s entry and visa provisions. The calculation concerns Türkiye only.
How to enter your previous stays and planned travel
Enter the date you intend to arrive in “Planned entry date”. Under “Previous stays in Türkiye”, enter each relevant previous visit with its own entry and exit dates. Including only your most recent trip may leave out days that still affect the calculation.
Use “Planned exit date (optional)” if you want to check a particular departure date. Leaving this field empty still allows the calculator to show the maximum available stay and its latest exit date. Count both entry and exit dates as full days when calculating the length of a stay.
For this calculation, include days spent in Türkiye under a visa or visa exemption. Days covered by a residence permit are excluded from this total. If your history includes different grounds for staying, distinguish them before entering the dates; adding every day spent in Türkiye without that distinction can produce an incorrect result.
“Planned entry date” is required.
“Planned exit date (optional)” enables a check of the proposed stay through that date.
“Previous stays in Türkiye” supplies the travel history; days outside the relevant 180-day window drop out automatically.
How the rolling 180-day calculation works
The rule does not use a fixed calendar period with the same start and end dates for everyone. Instead, each day of the proposed stay is assessed against the 180-day period ending on that day. This is called a rolling window because its starting point moves forward as the day being checked changes.
For each day, the calculator counts the relevant days spent in Türkiye within that window and checks whether the total exceeds 90. It repeats this process throughout the planned stay, including the exit day. A total that fits the rule on arrival does not, by itself, establish that the whole proposed visit fits.
Simply subtracting previously used days from 90 is insufficient to assess every travel plan. During a new stay, older days may move outside the window and change the available time. Their effect depends on the actual dates of the earlier visits and the dates of the new stay.
Take each day of the proposed stay in turn.
Identify the 180-day period ending on that day.
Count the relevant stay days within that period, including entry and exit days.
Check the total against the 90-day limit and repeat for the following day.
How to read the result and its limits
Read the maximum available stay together with the latest exit date. If you entered “Planned exit date (optional)”, compare your proposed departure date with the calculated latest exit date and review whether the proposed stay fits the rule. The exit day itself uses a full day of the available stay.
When the window is full, the first eligible entry date and the length of the continuous stay available after that entry are separate results. Finding an eligible entry date under the 90/180 rule does not mean that a fresh 90-day stay is available from that date. Leaving Türkiye and returning does not erase previous visits from the rolling window.
The result is for information only and depends on the dates entered and the stated rule. It assesses the duration of a stay under the 90/180 rule; it does not assess whether you meet all other conditions for entry.
Example: Returning to Türkiye after previous stays
Assume a person stayed in Türkiye from 1 June to 30 July 2026 for 60 days, then from 1 to 20 September 2026 for 20 days. Their “Planned entry date” is 1 November 2026. The previous visits total 80 days.
The calculator examines the rolling 180-day window for every day of the new stay. In this example, the maximum stay from 1 November 2026 is 10 days. Because arrival counts as a full day, the latest exit date is 10 November 2026.
The new stay includes both its entry and exit days, bringing the total to 90 days. This result cannot be applied to visits on different dates merely because the previous stays also total 80 days.
Frequently asked questions
Does my full 90-day allowance renew when 180 days have passed?
There is no fixed period that resets for everyone on the same date. The window is reassessed for each day of a stay. Available time can change as older stay days move outside that window.
Does leaving Türkiye and returning restart the 90 days?
No. Previous stays remain relevant while they fall within the applicable 180-day window. A short departure alone does not provide a new full stay allowance.
Do arrival and departure days both count?
Yes. Each counts as a full day. Excluding either day can understate the time already used and affect whether a planned exit fits the rule.
Do days spent in Türkiye with a residence permit count?
Days covered by a residence permit are excluded from this visa or visa-exemption calculation. Distinguish those days from other visits when preparing “Previous stays in Türkiye”.
When can I return after using all 90 days?
That depends on the dates of your previous entries and exits. When the window is full, the calculator identifies the first eligible entry date under the 90/180 rule. Also review the maximum stay and latest exit date available from that entry.
